I wanted to share my experience staying at a 5 Star, All-Inclusive Luxury resort in Cancun, Mexico. I stayed at the Grand Fiesta Americana Coral Beach and to sum it up in a nutshell, it was AMAZING. I will break it down by 6 categories: price, location, amenities, cleanliness, service and food. I hope this post comes in handy for you on your future Cancun travels. – xoxo
So I spent a total of 5 days in Cancun. After some extensive hotel research, I finally decided to stay at the Grand Fiesta Americana Coral Beach. They had amazing reviews on both Google and was voted Trip Advisor‘s Best of Best for 2020. Next thing I knew, we hit the checkout button and had our trip set for Cancun! I will be summing up all the hotels amenities plus more below!
PRICING
Most all-inclusive hotels in Cancun stack up to be pretty expensive. However, we got 60% off our stay since we traveled during spring break PLUS kid’s stay for FREE! For an Ocean View Suite with two Queen Beds, we paid a total of $1,682.00 USD. It was an average of $330/per night. This includes FREE airport shuttle transfer, all drinks and food included plus hotel activities. It was pricey but was totally worth it at the end.
LOCATION
The Cancun Hotel Zone stretches for miles and miles with over 150 hotels and resorts in the hotel zone. In terms of location, the Grand Fiesta Americana Coral Beach was in a great location! You are situated right at the end of the hotel zone (furthest away from the airport). Being at the end of the hotel zone makes it a prime location! You are walking distance to the “party center”, shops and lots of local food joints. This location also provides guests with amazing and calm ocean waters as you are situated right in front of the nearby island of Isla Mujeres.
AMENITIES
The hotel came equipped with: 3 Large Swimming Pools, Private Beach, Sports Lounge, Spa, Gym, Coral Kidz Club, Swim Up Bars plus more! The pools were clean and well kept. The private beach was the main attraction! Clean sands, hardly any seaweed and plenty of beach chairs + umbrellas. The hotel even offers a free ferry ride to the nearby island of Isla Mujeres.
As part of the all inclusive package, guests can do non-motorized activities such as kayaking, paddle boarding and snorkeling. They also have a daily activity sheet with activities such as volleyball, yoga, soccer and tequila tasting!
CLEANLINESS
This hotel took cleaning procedures very seriously. I traveled during Covid, and saw that they definitely were up to date and on top of their sanitization. All employees wore mask and shields. Customers were required to wear face masks in all public areas inside and outside of the hotel. High traffic surfaces were wiped down constantly. The lobby and hotel was well ventilated and clean. The rooms were sanitized and cleaned nicely. Towels were clean. The place I think is a true testament to a hotels cleanliness is their public bathrooms and they passed the test. The outdoor bathrooms near the pool area were air conditioned and spotless!
CUSTOMER SERVICE
This hotel really shined in this category. Their customer service/hospitality was out of this world! Every employee was friendly and happy to help. The waiters at the restaurants were always pleasant as well as all the maids and concierge staff. The staff made me feel like royalty (seriously). I have nothing but great things to say about the customer service at this hotel.
FOOD
Yet another category that this hotel excelled in. The food at this hotel was delicious! They had a total of 6 restaurants on site plus 24 hour room service including a grab and go Cafe. The food ranged from Mexican, Argentinian, French and Italian. Everything was freshly made to order. They also offered beach and pool food menu service where you can pick from a wide selection of drinks and snack items. The best restaurant we had there was called La Jolla (delish)! The room service menu was also not lacking food options.
That concludes my experience of the Grand Fiesta Americana Coral Beach. It was a pricey hotel, however once you consider the quality and amazing details you get, I would say this hotel was worth it. The room views were absolutely stunning and the food was tasty, what more can you ask for? I would love to stay here again and would recommend it to all my friends and family 🙂 I hope this review has been helpful! Leave a comment down below if you’ve visited Cancun, Mexico.
