I just recently visited Cabo San Lucas (November 2020 to be exact) and was completely blown away by the amount of fun and relaxation I discovered there! Now I can’t stop from bragging about my trip to all my friends and family. So I decided to compile a list of my Top 5 Activities to do in Cabo. Enjoy!
1. Take A Boat Tour
I did so much research on different water activities to do in Cabo and felt overwhelmed by the amount of tours being offered. There’s sunset tours, sunrise tours, luxury tours and so on… I had no idea which tour would be legit and ultimately just wanted to find the biggest bang for my buck. After some extensive research, I went with the Snorkel & Boat Tour of Everything Cabo provided by Cabo Blue Trimaran Boat. You can also find them on Google (they have great reviews). *Disclaimer* this is more of a party tour as they provide drinks + music and food. I had loads of fun sailing through the Baja peninsula 🙂 They stop by Santa Maria bay for some snorkeling as well and you get to stop by and see all of Cabo’s most famous landmarks.
2. Go on a ATV Tour
I know I just said I had loads of fun on the boat tour but ATV riding through Cabo’s sand dunes was AMAZING and thrilling! We booked a tour with G-Force Adventures, one of the more trusted and reputable companies in Cabo. ATV riding is a must when visiting Cabo because they are known for their desert landscaping, offering plenty of sandy land to get your thrills on. We booked this tour through our hotel concierge and they helped us arrange everything. This tour is on the pricey side but worth every penny. We had so much fun riding the ATV’s and it was one of the most memorable experiences I’ve ever had.
3. Stay At An All-Inclusive Hotel
This may seem like an obvious answer, especially when visiting Cabo San Lucas where there’s miles and miles of desert chic hotels and resorts. Yet, as a first timer in Cabo, I had no idea about the world of all inclusive resorts and how great they are. All I knew was that I did not have thousands of dollars to spend per night at those Insta worthy hotels you might see online. On top of that, as I was researching “Best Hotels to Stay At”, they all offered basically the same things. Once we did the math, we figured that the price for an all inclusive was worth it and that turned out to be the best decision we made the entire trip.
I stayed at the Sandos Finisterra Resort, a 5 star All-Inclusive Resort. Best. Decision. Ever. I cannot say enough good things about this resort. From the customer service, to the food and not to mention the endless amenities, everything about the Sandos Hotel was amazing! I’m adding this to my things to do list because staying at an all inclusive resort was a HUGE part of our amazing experience in Cabo San Lucas.
4. Try a Seafood Restaurant
Cabo is known for their fresh seafood as they are located in Baja California. During your trip to Cabo you should definitely find a seafood restaurant to try out. Since we came to Cabo to celebrate my boyfriends birthday, I wanted to take him somewhere special. I came across a restaurant called El Farallon, located in the Waldorf Astoria Hotel and the whole experience was awesome. You are perched cliffside with ocean views, live music and delicious food. You definitely want to check this restaurant out especially during the day for amazing Cabo views! There’s no shortage of seafood restaurants in Cabo.
5. Catch the Sunrise or Sunset
The final thing on my list, but probably the most unforgettable. While visiting Cabo, you absolutely have to watch the sunrise. This is a top rated experience and it’s FREE. Since Cabo is at the very end of the Baja Peninsula, the sunrise looks stunning in the morning. If you can muzzle the strength to wake up super early, I recommend this activity.
Here is a list of Extra Things to Do in Cabo:
- Visit Flora Farms for a unique farm to table experience
